Friday August 19, 2011 – Boch Ice Center
The Kings offense kicked it up again with a 12-2 victory over the Misfits in Dedham on Friday. With most of the Kings lineup out of action, the Kings got some help from their friends. Just about everyone showed up on the scoresheet with the Kings taking a 4-0 lead at the end of the first and expanding it to 12-2 by game’s end. Fortunately nobody got hotheaded but you can bet the Misfits will be eyeing the rematch next Friday at 8pm.

It appears that with the Surge loss to IFC, the Surge will have their play-off game (4 vs 5) on Friday 8/26 at 8PM. Two issues arise:
1) The Kings will be short players for the 8/26 game against the Misfits (we will be missing at least John, Josh, Paul, Bermy, Bob and Fran).
2) The BBQ at my house may have only half of the Kings able to attend.
I suggest that we reschedule my BBQ to be on Thurs, 9/1 after our game vs Rush at 7PM in Quincy. That way, even if you cannot make the game, you should be able to make the BBQ. I am fine with either date, but I want to have as as many people show up as possible.
Regarding our game this Friday, I suggest that we have the same line-up if possible.

I am in for the game on Friday. If there is no BBQ I will still drink beers in the parking lot.
I will likely have to work late on next Thursday so I would be OUT for the early game in Quincy and a BBQ.

I am making arrangements to leave work early so I can make the game. It looks like we might be short players – no Surge, various vacations, etc. I have at least one buddy who can play. He’s not as flashy as Mark (and doesn’t own H gear) but still effective, so that might help our PR.
