Thursday July 30, 2009 – Canton Sportsplex

The Kings overcame a slow start to score 3 unanswered goals and beat Rt. 138 Autobody by a score of 3-1. Missing part of the first period because of traffic and having to dive right into the game cold and on the penalty kill, Ed stood tall in net; the only goal against found its way in during the first minute of play, but after that it was lights out as the Kings offense took over. Paul buried a pass from Jeff across the goalmouth to tie the score, and then Fran took the puck all the way down the ice and wristed a low shot past the Rt. 138 goaltender. The Kings had a couple of near misses, including a shot that rang off the post and some incredible flopping by the Rt. 138 goaltender to deny the Kings a few times. Ian got the backbreaking 3rd goal with just over 3 minutes to go, potting a rebound given up off a shot from the point.

I am most likely out too and the boston fest is probably a no go for me.
