Kings defeat Rush

Kings beat Rush on Thursday evening in Quincy by a final score of 12-3 (if I remember correctly). Even missing some key offensive firepower (Alan, Pete, Josh, Bermy, etc.), goals early and often for the Kings in this affair. Fran returned to the line-up and played a solid game on defense. Mike Rizzitano had at least five goals and could have easily netted several more. If the refs actually handed out assists, everyone would have been on the score sheet. The score was 6-1 after the first period and the game was never really in doubt. Play got a little chippy in the second period and the Kings got a two-man advantage shooting gallery going. Things clamed down in the third, but Ed keep the door closed smothering every loose puck and rarely giving out any rebounds at all. Good solid three period effort playing the game and not the score.

Next game is on Tuesday night @ QYH @ 10:10 in the PM against the Terriers. Not sure who these guys are or what type of competition they have been playing, but NESHL.com lists them as 0-8 with 15 goals for and 65 goals against. That would make them the playoff favorite. So come and score some goals. Post if you can’t make it.
