Tuesday June 9, 2009 – Canton Sportsplex
The Kings watched a 3-1 lead evaporate, rallied from 2 goals back to tie but only to see it dashed with 5 seconds left as a deflected pass out of the corner took a lucky bounce to a 103 player on the back door, who potted the easy goal to down the Kings 6-5. Ed was once again great in net but could only turn away so many 2-on-0s, 3-on-0s and 2-on-1s as the 103 guys were easily turning the defense all night. The third line generated some great offense, with Burger burying a great pass to tie the game late in the third, but with time winding down and the puck in the corner to Ed’s right, a pass out of the corner was deflected and ended up right on the stick of an uncovered player on the left corner crease.

tough loss. Ed played great. Will miss next week and maybe the week after. You will have to dig down and find scoring elsewhere.

I take great offense to having my hockey play mocked in the same sentence as Burger. By the way, I forgot who was on the ice for the last minute of the last game?
You should easily beat the Icemen without Will Farrell and me. I will watch the highlights on ESPN2.
