Thursday June 4, 2009 – Canton Sportsplex
The Kings offense fizzled and two quick goals late in the 3rd sunk the Kings, who fell to the Icebergs 2-0. The defense was solid, limiting the Icebergs’ chances through two and a half periods, but apart from a few decent chances by Greg and Jeff, the offense never really got going. The Icebergs goalie made some good saves to earn himself a shutout with the win.
Next game is Tuesday June 9th, 7:00pm at Canton against Local 103. See you all then.

The game was lousy. We had 11 skaters which is the worst number in hockey. We never generated any sustained pressure or hustle and the puck was just not bouncing our way.
However, the post-game BBQ was great. Bermie may have lost weight, but he has not lost his great skills on the grill! Everyone contributed to the event and it was a perfect way to forget the game.
We need more (or less) than 11 skaters. Who will not be at next Tuesday’s game?

If so, then for tomorrow night’s game, we have the dreaded number of 11 skaters (assuming that Josh, Alan, Frank and Fran will not be skating).

How about Jon comes down to play? I doubt you’ll get a quick answer on the roster by then and we’ve had people check in for a game but mysteriously not appear. Besides we could probably use all the bodies we can muster for Local 103.
