Tuesday November 11, 2008 – Milton Academy
John completed a hat trick in about 8:00 of playing time as the Kings turned in a tremendous performance in beating the Icemen 8-4. A completely different story than our last outing against Rodriguez and the Icemen. The forwards carried the play throughout the game, winning battles on the boards and running rampant in the Icemen zone. John ended the game with 4 goals and just about everyone on the team had a point in a game with some pretty goals. Pete capped a pretty tic-tac-toe play that started with Paul below the goal line and out to Greg in the faceoff circle; Greg notched a shorthanded tally on a wide open net after the goalie got caught wandering; and a textbook power play conversion where everyone touched the puck before Josh buried it stick-side on the goalie.
Paul posted 3 more games for us – we play Tuesday and Thursday next week (18th and 20th), at Milton Academy and West Roxbury. Check the schedule page for more.

If we are able to skate 3 lines, at least 4 defense men and Ed in the nets, we should be able to beat any team this winter. That assumes that we all skate, pass, shoot, score, backcheck and stay out of the box, as well as we all did last night. Last night’s game was fun to play and even better to remember the next day.
Go Kings (when ever we play next)!

Good win fellas. Lets keep it up. Thanks to Greg for passing me that puck on my goal despite my failure to score on the previous 2 passes he gave me.

I echo Jeff’s sentiments. Great team win. Going to be tough to beat us if we put in that type of an effort. I think the only place we got beat was in the face off circle.
Anyone know what rink in West Roxbury they are talking about? I generally avoid all things Roxbury.
