Money

Guys,

More than a month of the season is over and there are still people out there who owe significant (more than $100) cash on the season bill. I do everyone on the team a favor by putting up a few thousand of my own dollars at the start of the season to get us a break on the bill. Because I’m a nice guy and I’m independently wealthy because of my boiler room penny stock schemes, I save you each about $50, on average, each season. It’s no problem because most of the guys on the squad pay their bills within a month of the season start, which I think is a fair amount of time to get your cash together. But we’re almost two months in now, and a few guys still owe me more than a third of their bill and haven’t given me even a schedule on when I can expect to get cash. I don’t want to be a dick about money because we’ve got a good bunch of guys on the team, but I want to be clear on one thing: If you don’t get me a check, or arrange a payment schedule with me, you shouldn’t bother coming to games starting in January.

There are guys on the team who wrote checks in the first few weeks, wondering why we’re carrying guys that don’t pay their bills. I understand that times are tight and cash might not be readily available, but if you can’t pay for hockey you shouldn’t be playing, end of story.

The tally for the season is $370. If you have cash and want to send it now, you can mail it to me at the address below or bring it to a game.
