No game Thursday Sept. 18th
Paul finally got back to me. No game on the 18th – first game is Tuesday, as scheduled.

Great work Bryan. Can you find out from Paul if we are to expect that the 2008-09 Winter schedule will be released on a two week basis like this summer? Or will he be able to develop and deliver a schedule that goes out for 3 months so that we all can plan our schedules accordingly? If it is the former, I am concerned that we will have the same type of turn-out that we had this summer (through no fault of anyone on the team). Paul needs to explain why he has such difficulty in scheduling the entire season in advance, as he has to have already booked the ice through March.

I had a long talk with Paul about this on the phone when I re-upped for the winter. He said that last year BU was a real problem in that they only released icetime to him one month at a time, but that this year he is getting all his ice time at the start and will be able to fill out the schedule much farther in advance. We’ll see how this plays out in reality, I’ve heard it before.
Paul also said we might be able to secure a regular night and location, that being Thursdays at 10:00pm at BU. I told him I’d put it to the team and see what they thought – I know most people would like a regular night but that might be later than some prefer.
