Another team of has-been hockey heroes lit up the Kings 10-2 last night. Bermy and Greg had the two tallies for the Kings.
it really should have been a 8-4 game. missed opportunities and unlucky plays against a better team.

At least the Cs came all the way back.
Anyone notice the updates NESHL standings, the Kings have been demoted several divisions because of our poor play! Yikes! We need to get our act together, fast. Otherwise it is going to be a long summer.

not sure if we needed to be demoted. we can compete with the other teams in the divison. Greg bitched out Laub. about pairing us against Hofbrau which probably resulted in us dropping down. the division we were in we have played some of the other teams and beaten. now I am not sure of the level of play in our new division.

p.s. even dropping down our next three games are against the old divisions teams. I would tell Laub to keep us up there and just not schedule teams higher then our division. Any thoughts?

The divisions are almost meaningless until the playoffs. Last summer we played almost all our games against teams a division above us. Whatever Greg said, Laubenstein should know us by now, know our competitive level and what set of teams we can match up against.

This whole thing never appears to be based on logic, so I wouldn’t sweat it too much. I don’t mind playing good teams every once in a while because it does make us better, but so far it seems like that’s all we’ve played. Hopefully the rest of the season balances out a bit.
FYI, I’m 50/50 for Thursday. It’s early and close so hopefully I can be there, but I’m out of town for a long weekend this weekend and I might be slammed with stuff to do on Thursday night. I’ll do my best to be there.

glad the celts won. couldn’t hack another 12:30 night. ALso a game 7 on hockey night? Who would show?
