Kings Roll River Rats, 8-1

Tuesday February 19, 2007 – Milton Academy

John, Fran and Bermy had two goals each as the Kings beat the Boston River Rats 8-1. Despite giving up a power play goal with Fran in the box for tripping, the Kings extended their 3-1 lead at the end of the first. Greg nailed a sick no-angle wrister on the short side and Bermy buried a slapper in the top corner and berated the River Rats bench. The Rats started to get some offense in the third but were turned aside by Ed at every turn.

This game was one of our best Kings win. Eleven players (including all 4 defensemen) had at least one point. We scored 8 goals, even though we had 5 penalties. The scoring was spread out among 5 players (instead of relying on one player to get 5 goals). The goals were spread out across each period.

I would highlight a terrific penalty kill when we had two Kings in the box. Greg along with 2 defensemen (I cannot remember who) did a great job for over a minute of killing a 5 on 3, at a time when the River Rats needed a goal and were pressuring hard.

Of course Ed was stellar. Think of what he will do when he has an adult goalie stick!

GO KINGS!

Looks like the March schedule is 99 percent filled in yet no Kings. The remaining time are shitty. Did Paul forget we are in the league?

Laubenstein really sucks. Bryan hammer the ass. What happened to Deedham? Our next three games are in Brockton and we play the Brawlers twice? WTF? That’s three time in four games. Bryan call Paul and tell him to be more creative then scheduling half our game against the same opponent. what a joke.
