Kings top River Rats 3-2

Fran returned to the lineup for the first time since the summer and the Kings kept the win streak going with a 3-2 win over the River Rats in Milton last night. Starting without a goalie, the River Rats played 6 on 5 and gave up an early goal to Greg, but the game remained close and the River Rats eventually tied it up and put some pressure on the Kings defense at times. Greg scored another one, a backhander off the post later in the second, but the River Rats answered, getting a floater behind the defense who put his own rebound past Ed to tie the score at 2. That would be all for the Rats as the Kings closed down on defense, and Josh got the eventual gamewinner late in the second to secure the Kings’ third win in a row.
