Kings beat Anarchy, 3-1

Sunday December 23, 2007 – Canton Sportsplex

The Kings notched their fourth win of the season against Anarchy at Canton Sportsplex with a 3-1 victory. The story of the game was the Anarchy goalie, who was peppered with shots throughout the game and kicked out all but two as the Kings held Anarchy back in their own zone for most of the first half of the game. The Kings finally broke through late in the second when Bob rifled a shot from the blueline in the short side corner. Mike Rizzitano made it 2-0 late in the second when he walked the puck out of the defensive zone, came in along the right boards and ripped a snap shot inside the near post.

Anarchy was able to muster more offensive pressure in the third and got on the board on a 2 on 1. The two teams traded chances through the rest of the period, and Anarchy had a huge chance to tie the game with the extra skater, but Frank and Ed did a great job blocking shots in the scrum on the crease. After a faceoff, Josh was able to gain the line and notched an empty-netter to seal the victory with twenty seconds left.

that’s ridiculous. Seriously it won’t be long before we won’t be allowed on the ice anymore.
