Kings lose again to Pirates 4-5

Tuesday November 27, 2007 – Milton Academy

A few more defensemen didn’t stem the goals against average as the Kings lost another tough one to the Pirates on Tuesday night. Not long after finding out Bermy is on the 60-day DL with a back injury, the Kings faced off against the Pirates in the 2nd of the 3 game series. The forwards all had a tremendous game. John was a one man wrecking crew below the goal line, Jeff had half a dozen solid chances and Josh set up Greg on probably the prettiest goal we’ve seen, with Greg batting a knee-high pass into the open net. The Kings kept it close most of the game but the last few minutes saw the Pirates score two goals including the game winner. Paul got one back with barely a minute to play, banking it in off the goalie from the behind the goal line, but with the extra skater the Kings couldn’t put the puck in the net and suffered the loss.

Sounds like a tough loss, we’ll get ‘em next time. That’s rather unfortunate about Bermy. Get well Bermy.
