Kings Stumble in Championship Tune Up: Rematch Thursday, @ 9:10 in Canton

Missing some key goal scoring power, a squad of nine Kings fell to Cobras team fielding only five skaters. Final score was 5-3, which included an empty net goal for the Cobras in the last couple seconds.  The Kings led at one point 2-1, and the game was tied up for most of the second and third, but the Kings were burned on an odd man rush with only a few minutes left to play.  Kings had several opportunities to tie the game with the goalie pulled, but the bounces were just not going our way on this evening. Got to tip your caps to the five Cobra skaters who captured a clean, hard fought victory.  I believe that Jeff had two goals, and Mike netted one as well.

Really one of the more inexplicable losses in Kings history, but the good news is that the Kings do not have to wait long for their shot at redemption, and another Summer League crown.

CALLING ALL KINGS FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH AT 9:10 IN CANTON.

Jeff may not be in attendance. Please post if you are going to be unable to make the game.

I have a ton of leftover beer from the Friday night (Thanks Jeff), so it’ll be bottoms up after the game on Thursday.
