Kings top Dawgs, 5-2

Wednesday July 25, 2007 – Asiaf Arena

The Kings got back into the win column with a solid game against the DRL Dawgs. After giving up a 1-0 lead, we climbed back into the lead with a seeing-eye five-hole shot by Jeff and then a knuckler from Burger on the point. Alan roofed a nice shot over the blocker side on a feed from Frank, and with Jeff in the box at the end of the game, Josh stole the puck from the defenseman and walked in for the empty net goal.

While I was in the mix on Burger’s game winning goal, I wasn’t even on the ice when Alan scored so the credit must go elsewhere.

With two games next week and Fran on the DL we’ll need strong showing of Kings at both games to take home two Ws.

Yeah, I know a bunch of people told me they’re missing games next week, might be at one or the other – email me or post here which games you’re going to. If you’re going to both, don’t worry about notifying me.

LPC beat Iceberg this week. This means that if we win our last four games of the summer season, we clinch 1st place. Keep it going Kings as we have two games this week and Fran is on the DL while others cannot make all of the games.

My work schedule is all messed up this week, but as of now it looks like I’ll be there on Tuesday but not on Thursday. If I can make it to both, I’ll be there. Nice win this past week boys.
