Thursday July 12, 2007 – Milton Academy

Another summer game with a short bench means another win as the Kings cruised past the Brawlers 8-4. Paul used the same sweet deke twice to score a couple of nice breakaway goals and Fran narrowly missed his own bid for a hat trick, while Frank roofed a nice shot from inside the faceoff circle for a goal. With a 2-1 lead going into the second, the Kings offense got in gear, scoring four goals in the frame to run out to a big lead. A couple of quick breakaways by the Brawlers got them back in the game a little bit, but goals from Fran and Bob in the third period helped seal the win.

Shout out to whomever was completely blocking the goalie when I scored. And to Mike for filling in and scoring a nice goal.

Next week we’re playing the Hackers, one of the Kings traditional rivals. Let’s have a strong showing of Kings and keep climbing towards first place. We can catch the Icebergs.

Props to Kevin and the other fill-ins for making that GAA look good. Anyway, lets all show up and kick some strange Hacker ass together on Thursday.
