Recap
The Kings couldn’t make 3-1 and 4-3 leads hold up, settling for a 4-4 tie with KPMG White. Despite a full bench to battle with KPMG’s 6 skaters, the Kings suffered 2 goals off a bizarre double-minor for checking that helped KPMG salvage a point. Bob Mecagni got the scoring started in the 2nd with a wrister from the high slot. After a goal to tie it up, Burger took the reins to try to deliver a win for the Kings, scoring two separate go-ahead goals. Paul and Josh combined for a nice score, Paul faking out the goalie before dishing it off to Josh for a sweep inside the near post. KMPG called a timeout with less than 4 minutes to play and drew up a successful play off a faceoff in our end. Despite the score, Ed stood tall between the pipes, making more than a few great saves to keep the Kings in the game.

Sorry about the double minor Kings. If I had known I was going to get two penalties for a check I would have knocked the guys head off and got my money’s worth. Personally I thought it was more of a trip. If I had just fired the puck deep into the near corner instead of trying to backhand it cross ice into the far corner, none of that crap would have happened.
School is heating up as the temperature is dropping so I am likely out for the next couple of games. Let’s start another win streak next game!
Buger is killing it.

Burger’s becoming Mr. Clutch. Don’t be surprised when people start yelling “get it to Burger!” when the game’s on the line.
Don’t sweat the double minor Frank, that’s the first time just about anyone has seen that penalty called. On at least one of those goals everyone was caught below the circles in the other end and Pete was stuck trying to defend a 4 on 1. We screwed up the PK more than anything else.

Hi Guys,
I won’t be at the game on Thursday. I am going to the Bruins game with my little brother. Wally will be there.
Good Luck. Welcome Back Jeff.

3 ties in 7 games isn’t too bad, it’s just that two of those ties are games we should’ve won. We need to start scoring again, I think that’ll happen with Jeff coming back. In our first 13 games we averaged 5.70 goals for – in our last 4 games it’s 3.5 goals for. Before Jeff got hurt we scored 5 or more goals in 9 games; In the 6 games he’s missed we’ve done that twice.
